What They Say
Treat yourself to some extra romance with this exclusive, straight-to-digital short story from the Sunday Times No. 1 Bestseller. When Jo’s friend Andi asks if she’ll stand in to cook Christmas lunch for her employer, Jo reluctantly agrees. She knows Andi will lose her job if she doesn’t, and wants to help out her friend. Jo is nervous because Andi’s boss is a well-known celebrity diva, who outright refuses to have anyone but Andi cook for her. But she also insists Andi wears full chef's whites so the girls think they’ll get away with it … it’s the perfect Christmas disguise. But when Jo runs into one of the guests - good looking and very smart Anthony - things get even more complicated… Plus the first chance to read the opening chapter of Katie's novel, A Summer at Sea.
My Review
I love Katie's little novellas. They're short and sweet and very festive. I probably wouldn't purchase them (I'm lucky enough to get them via Netgalley) - the £1.99 price tag is far too high for a book that takes half an hour to read when you can get full length ones for 99p, but that's a whole other article for another day ;)

This is a lovely little novella, I liked the whole idea of someone standing in for someone else, and it was lovely of Jo to do that, especially as I would ALWAYS pick dogs over humans, especially dogs in a shelter XD. Yes, I am that kind of human being. I prefer dogs to humans. And I liked Anthony, he was quite charming, despite his rich boy status.

There's not a lot I can say about this novella, it was just a really sweet read. The perfect little read before bed, and I can't wait for Katie's next offering, she always a must-read author for me.
